چکیده

Spatial Dynamic Simulation Systems have three main components: the space dimension, the time dimension and the dynamic process. Dynamic processes have been modeled by transition rules, which are subject to constraints and which can avoid or force the occurrence of a transition. In this paper we propose a framework to represent the variability of simulation process based on the temporal constraints present in the Database Theory and using the Hybrid Cellular Automata represented by TerraML (cell-based modeling language). Variability is a feature to establish the possibility and change limits of objects at the moment or in the space. The variability, associated to simulation process, allows represent behavioral characteristics of elements in real world, particularly in Spatial Dynamic Systems.

The Crop Growth Monitoring System (CGMS) has been applied for spatial biophysical resource analysis of Borkhar & Meymeh district in Esfahan province, Iran. The potentially suitable area for agriculture in the district has been divided into 128 homogeneous land units in terms of soil (physical characteristics), weather and administrative unit. Crop parameters required in the WOFOST simulatio...

A Spatio-Temporal Taxonomy for the Representation of Spatial Set Behaviours

Currently, most models proposed for spatio-temporal databases describe changes that involve independent entities. However, many dynamic applications need new models to relate evolution of spatial entities linked by common properties and constraints or relationships. In transportation GIS, an activity-event matrix describes individual entity behaviours, travel activities and routes on a transpor...

Modeling spatial and temporal data in an object oriented constraint database framework

Constraints provide a flexible and uniform way to represent diverse data capturing spatio-temporal behavior, complex modeling requirements, partial and incomplete information etc, and have been used in a wide variety of application domains. Constraint databases have recently emerged to deeply integrate data captured by constraints in databases. This thesis is aimed at defining a constraint data...

8 Advanced Uses : Composing Interactive Spatio - temporal Documents

Lately a new generation of application domains is emerging. Such applications, heavily dynamic and interactive, include interactive multimedia applications, virtual reality worlds, digital movies and 3D animations. They deal with intensive spatio-temporal dependencies between the participating objects with motion becoming a central issue. Indeed in the aforementioned application domains, much o...

Reconstruction of Spatio-temporal Human Distribution by Integrating Multi-source Data

Recently many kinds of spatio-temporal data are being repeatedly acquired or generated mainly because of the rapid progress of data acquisition technology in recent times. However, those data are still so limited and "fragmentary" in terms of observation frequency, spatial coverage and thematic accuracy, etc., that we cannot always directly monitor dynamic changes of the spatial objects or feat...
